Happy New Year, everybody! Here are some photos from the New Year's celebration at the Soaltee Crowne Plaza hotel. The event was hosted by former Miss Nepal, Malvika Subba, who looked a bit like a mermaid in her beautiful sparkling dress.
The entertainment was started by a popular Nepalese rock-band "Abhaya and the Steam Injuns" who performed their own songs in Nepali as well as a few famous English hits.
Then Torsha Sarkar, one of the top four finalists of Indian Idol 4 and Bollywood playback singer, appeared on the scene.
Her songs were alternated periodically with an eight-members dance group who performed different modern Bollywood dances.
