Nepali dances: Tappa

Namaste!
Tappa is one of the folk dances of Nepal. It is popular among the Gurung community. The dance starts in a slow manner and then the tempo gets faster and faster towards the end. It is danced to the rhythm and beating of the hand drum, called Madal.

  1. This is a totally false article. This Tappa culture belongs to Magar not Gurung. Gurung are Tibetan Origin. Gurung has nothing to do with Tappa. Tappa is a Magar culture. Gurung has copied everything from the magar cultural dances and folk songs.
